Joe Fowler Obituary
Larry Joe Fowler, 81, husband of Blanche Elaine Knight Fowler for 60 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Mr. Fowler was born in Simpsonville to the late Robert Cecil Fowler, Sr. and Grace Estelle Hopkins Fowler. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Joe was a lifelong brick mason and the owner of Joe’s Rock & Brick Company; consequently, he erected the arches over the entrances of the Simpsonville City Cemetery. He loved Bass fishing and participating in fishing tournaments. Joe enjoyed gardening and working on crafts. He was a collector of fishing lures.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Joyce Fowler; two brothers, Doc Fowler and Danny Fowler; five sisters, Janet Suggs, Sybil Vaughn, Joann Richards, Ellen Howard, and Martha Wofford; and his beloved cats, Lucy and Ethel. He was predeceased by three brothers, R.C. "Junior" Fowler, George Fowler, and Allen Fowler; and a sister, Donna Dye.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Services.
Graveside services will begin at 11 o’clock Friday at Simpsonville City Cemetery.
In Joe’s honor, flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to Prisma Health Cancer Institute–Faris Road, 900 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
