Cathy Marie Bridwell Charles, 62, wife to Danny Fay Charles for 36 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Mrs. Charles was born in Spartanburg to the late Jerry Everette Bridwell and Patricia Ann Davis Bridwell.  She worked many years as a manager for Domino’s Pizza and was a guardian ad litem for the Spartanburg County Court. Cathy was a member of Mount Calvary Christian Church where she sang in the choir.  She was a collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia and porcelain dolls.  Cathy enjoyed playing Farmville and Candy Crush; however, her greatest joy came in being MiMi to her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Chris Charles with wife Kristy, and Jonathan Charles; three daughters, Tiffany Dempsey with husband Lamont, Christina Bruce with husband Andy, and Leslie Williams; a sister, Tammy Bishop with husband Sam; and twelve grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a brother, Alan Bridwell.

A celebration of Cathy’s life will begin at 11 o’clock Monday at Mount Calvary Christian Church.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens.
