Myra Diane Cochran Nichols, 84, widow of John Jesse “Bid” Nichols, Jr., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2026.  Born in Pauline, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Harvey Cochran and Ida Mabel Golden Cochran.

Diane enjoyed spending time at home.  She liked to cook and be hostess to her family.  Diane had a fascination with lighthouses.  Most precious to her was being Grandma to her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Diane is survived by two daughters, Pam Morse (Shawn) and Rona Edge (Jeff); six grandchildren, Colt Brown, Justin Foster (Ashley), Dr. Asten Leonard (Brandon), Todd Edge (Rachael), Garrett Nichols (Kathryn), and Katie Sloan (T.J.); six great-grandchildren, C.J., Leland, Grayson, Hudson, Olivia, and Andrew; two brothers, Bobby Cochran (Carolyn) and David Cochran (Barbara); and a sister Linda Taylor.  She was preceded in death by nine siblings.
