Robert James “Jim” McAnulty, 82, husband to Barbara Anne Sizer McAnulty for 54 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Mr. McAnulty was born in San Antonio, TX to the late Robert Louis “Bob” McAnulty and Mary Eloise Roberts McAnulty.  He was an alumnus of the University Of South Carolina and retired from White Cap Building Supply.  Jim loved shag dancing, reading, and listening to music.  He was an enthusiastic supporter of USC Gamecock sports – especially football and women’s basketball. Jim’s greatest joy in life was being “PawPaw” to his grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Kelly McAnulty with partner Jeff; a son, Grant McAnulty with wife Ashley; and two grandchildren, Blake and Gabe.

A private family burial at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte, NC will be held at a future date.

Memorials in Jim’s honor may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
