Karen Williams “Kay” Lancaster, 66, widow of Darrell Edward Lancaster, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2026.

Mrs. Lancaster was born in Greer, SC to Shirley Lance Williams and the late Everette Williams. She was a member of Selma Baptist Church and previously worked for more than 30 years at CRYOVAC Sealed Air.  She enjoyed being “Nanny Kay” and spending time with her grandchildren.

Kay is survived by her daughter, Stacy Lynn Moore with husband Kenny; a daughter-in-law, Genna Lynn; a brother, Michael Williams; two sisters, Deborah Jones and Crystal Muir with husband Rick; eleven grandchildren, Kenzie Lancaster, Kaleb Locklair with Mercedes, Jacob Coppedge, Tyler Richards, Sydney Sloan with  Jace Copelan, Alexis Merrifield with Levi, Alyssa Lynn, Kaitlyn Moore, Andrew Moore, Jayce Lancaster and Brayleigh Lancaster; nine great-grandchildren, Hadleigh Coppedge, Harvest Coppedge, Ellie Richards, Dallas Richards, Waylon Locklair, Teagan Merrifield, Phoenix Merrifield, Hunter Williams, and Haizlee Williams; and special friend and caregiver, Amanda Bennett. Kay was predeceased by a son, James Evertte Lynn, and a brother-in-law, Coy Jones.

A celebration of Kay’s life will begin at 2o’clock, Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service in Woodruff. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
