Jack Clark Obituary

Jack Moore Clark, Jr., 69, died peacefully in his sleep after an extended illness on Thursday, May 7, 2026.  Born in Greenville, he was the son of Catherine Earlene Godfrey Clark and the late Jack Moore Clark, Sr.


Jack lived his entire life near the Donaldson Air Force Base, where he was born.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, collected knives and guns, and accumulated many pair of boots over the years.  Jack loved animals, especially horses, and participated in several horse shows.


Jack was best known for his love of music.  Jack’s favorites were country and Southern rock.  He played guitar, sang, and could talk endlessly about music and his favorite artists.  He also volunteered as a fireman for the South Greenville Fire Department.


Jack is survived by his son, Elijah Clark with wife, Jessica; his step-son, Jason Parker; his sister, Janet Davenport with husband, Frank; and other extended family members and friends.


A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at The Pavilion at Reedy Fork Baptist Church, 459 Reedy Fork Road, Greenville, SC  29605.
