Steven Frank Lamont (62) went to be with his Lord and Saviour Saturday, May 16, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. 

Born to Loren Rand Lamont and Dawn Alicia Kelley Lamont in Springfield, MA, Steve grew up in Vermont along with his sister, Susan Lamont Dutton (Donald Dutton), and brother Matthew Lamont (Rachel Lamont). He was the beloved husband of Amber Jolyne Bullock Lamont, and father to Benjamin Lamont (Manya Tam), Grace Lamont (Stephen Burdette), and Johanna Lamont.

A man of much humor, kindness and talent, Steve enjoyed helping people, making them laugh, and finding ways to be a blessing. He loved the Lord and took delight in playing trumpet, guitar and bass in church. A retired Navy Chief and veteran of 23 years, he was proud of his military, and later, civil service careers. However, his passion was his family, his love for them shone through in everything he did.

Steve will be laid to rest at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery in Anderson on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 1:00 pm. A celebration of Steve’s life, with military honors, will follow at Harvest Anglican Church in Simpsonville at 2:30 pm. The family will visit with friends following the service.
