It is with heavy hearts that we share with you our beloved Joelean Harl has passed away. She joined our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 21, 2026 from Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia. She is survived by her loving husband Winston, daughter Tinya Harl, son’s Jerry and Nolan Harl, Daughter-in- law Angie Harl, and grandchildren Shawn Knudsen, Dylan and Alexis Harl.
Joelean passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, service and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Joelean was known for her warm heart, outgoing personality, remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. She never met a stranger and had a gift for bringing people together through kindness, laughter and genuine friendship. Her caring spirit touched countless lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and served.
A woman of many talents, Joelean was a gifted musician who found joy in writing and singing music. Through her songs and creativity, she expressed her love for life and shared her unique voice with others. She was also a talented artist whose drawings and paintings reflected her imagination, passion and appreciation for beauty.
For over 40 years, Joelean dedicated her professional life as an Activity Director, enriching the lives of countless individuals through meaningful programs, celebrations, and personal connections. She had a special gift for lifting spirits, creating joy and helping others feel seen and appreciated. Her work was far more than a career – it was a calling that positively impacted generations of people and their families.
Joelean’s commitment to her community extended beyond her professional life. She proudly served as a City Council member, working to make community a better place she represented. Her leadership, integrity and dedication earned the respect and admiration of many.
Above all, Joelean was a loving and devoted presence in the lives of her family and friends. Her generosity, creativity, strength, faith and unwavering compassion will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of service, artistry, music and love that will continue to shine through all those whose lives she touched.
Though she will be deeply missed, Joelean Harl’s spirit lives on through the memories she created, the lives she enriched and the love she shared so freely. “Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear”.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to donate to your favorite animal organization in her honor. To all those mourning our loss with us, we offer our deepest appreciation and condolences during this difficult time.
