Bonnie Elaine Cody Barbrey, 74, widow of John Edward “Johnny” Barbrey, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Mrs. Barbrey was born in Greenville to the late Robert Eugene Cody and Ruby Myrtle Rollins Cody.  Elaine loved her animals, grand babies and great grand babies more than anything.

Surviving are a daughter, Kim Brannon; a son, David Barbrey; two brothers, Bobby Cody and Richard Cody (Brenda); three sisters, Dessie Stewart, Linda Holland, and Clemeugene Cody; two grandchildren, Tiffany Galloway and Travis Galloway (Dakota); and four grandsons, Eli, Kael, Owen and Briggs.  She was predeceased by a brother, David Cody.

Graveside services will begin at 4 o’clock Wednesday at Cannon Memorial Park.
