Obituary of Ernest Gerald Kelly

Ernest Gerald Kelly, 87, husband to the late Frances Chandler Kelly, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 24, 2018.

Mr. Kelly was born in Anderson to the late Paul Ernest Kelly and Maggie Beatrice Smith Kelly.  He retired from Belk Department Stores and was a member of Fork Shoals Baptist Church.  He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army.  Gerald enjoyed music, making and playing the dulcimer.  He was also an artist that painted and made wood working crafts.

Surviving are a son, Tim Kelly and wife Becky; a daughter, Becky McClain and husband Joe; and two grandchildren, Joe McClain IV and Megan McClain.  He was predeceased by a sister, Sybil Coyle.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fork Shoals Baptist Church.  Burial will be private in the church cemetery.
