Dorothy Jean Walters Pierson, 69, widow of Claude Laverne “Bunt” Pierson, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

 

Mrs. Pierson was born in Dennison, OH to the late Myrel Lloyd Walters and Beulah Ann Riley Walters.  She was an LPN graduate from Kirtland Community College and retired from Sunnyslope Nursing Home.  She enjoyed gardening, cross-stitching, singing and playing cards. Dorothy was a care-taker by her nature, and she relished being “Nanny” to her grandchildren. 

 

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Walters; a sister, Barbara Shepard; and two granddaughters, Khloe’ Rowe and Kaitlin Rowe; a cousin, Linda Fiester; and her beloved dog “Sparkie.”

 

A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Don Brown.  Burial will be private.
