Beatrice Pennington Jackson, 97, widow of William H. “Bill” Jackson, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 19, 2018.

 

Mrs. Jackson was born in Simpsonville to the late Ray Pennington and Maude Cox Pennington.  She retired from Union Carbide and was a member of Clear Spring Baptist Church.  Bea enjoyed life and absolutely loved dancing the “Charleston.”

 

Surviving are four great-grandchildren, Ashley Hart, Christopher Herman, Tori Herman, and Nathaniel Morgan; and two great-great-grandchildren, Teagan Ferdon and Hayes Bishop.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Dixon; four brothers, Floyd Pennington, A.C. Pennington, Lewis Pennington, and Cecil Pennington; three sisters, Ruby Wood, Lucille Coleman and Leola Pennington; and two grandchildren, Cathy Herman and Greg Hart.

 

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service.  Burial will be private in Clear Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
