Obituary of Nell Stewart
Nell Watson Stewart, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went to be with the Lord on February 28th, 2019. She was the widow of James Hamilton Stewart Jr.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Dacusville to the late Thurman Jackson Watson and Zerma Ruth Watson. Nell retired from DowBrands and became involved in her true passions advocating for Law Enforcement and vulnerable children in the Guardian Ad Litem Program. Among her many civic involvements, she served on the boards of the Greenville Tech Foundation, Crime Stoppers and Miracle Hill.
Surviving, are a son, William G. Stewart (Stephanie); a daughter, Lyn Stewart Reames; seven grandchildren, Taylor Reames, Jenifer Reames, Hamilton Stewart, Givens Stewart, John Stewart, Will Stewart and Harrison Stewart; a sister, Katherine Wolfe; two daughters-in-law, Blanche I. Stewart and Sue V. Stewart and a sister-in-law, Joyce Watson. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by two sons, James Hamilton Stewart III and John Carol Stewart and two brothers, Curtis Watson and Charles Watson.
Funeral Services will be 4pm Sunday at Earle Street Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00pm. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
