Obituary of Bernette Thompson King

Bernette “Nette” Thompson King, 60, wife of Charles E. King, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.  

Mrs. King was born in Jasper, SC to the late William David “Bill” Thompson and Bernette Aleatha “Bert” Browder Thompson.  She graduated from the Greenville Technical College Nursing Program and was a registered nurse at NHC-Mauldin.  She was a member of Pelham First Baptist.  Netteenjoyed fishing, baking, quilting, sewing and going to the beach.  She loved being Mema to her grandkids.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four daughters, Courtney Jackson, Mandie Ivie and husband Daniel, AleathaNikki Moore and husband Adam, and Noel Thompson; a brother, David Thompson and wife Marie; and ten grandchildren, Blake Dalenko, Delana Dalenko, Madison Jackson, Andrew Rye, Dawson Ivie Cavan Moore, Allie Ivie, Molly Moore, Carter Bernhagen and Connor Moore.  She was predeceased by a son, Samuel Adam Cone; a brother, MerritThompson; and a sister, Wendy Thompson.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Pelham Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Patrick Clark.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  The burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
