How I adored Aunt Janie! While I attended college in South Carolina, I was able to spend some time with Uncle Lewis and Aunt Janie. As I watched Sarah speak of Janie yesterday during the funeral, everything she said about her Grandmother was so true. She always made me feel so welcome and loved. And that fried chicken? THE BEST! Above all, she was a sweet soul. Just being around her was happiness. Although I haven't seen her in years, my heart aches at the thought of her being gone, but my heart is also soothed knowing she's at rest with Jesus and we all will see her again.
