Obituary of E Virginia Guisti

Greenville, SC- E. Virginia “Ginny” Guisti, 80, of Greer, SC, went to meet her Heavenly Father on June 2, 2019.  She graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford, CT in 1957.  She then worked at HELCO for 17 years and attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church.   Later, she resided in Thomaston, CT where she was a member of The Covenant Church of Thomaston and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Huskies Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams.  She enjoyed spending time with her church family, playing bridge with friends and spending time with her grandchildren.

Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late “Duke” and Agnes Carlstedt Erickson.  She was predeceased by her ex-husband Lawrence Guisti.  She is survived by her two daughters, Allison Guisti Muriithi (Kahwai) of Simpsonville, SC and Amy Guisti of Torrington, CT; sister Nancy Erickson of N. Ft. Myers, FL; and three grandchildren Miriam and Musa Muriithi of Simpsonville, SC and Jamilat Awudu of Torrington, CT.

The first Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Fletcher Funeral Home, 1218 N. Main St, Fountain Inn, SC.  The second Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm, Saturday, August 3, 2019 at The Covenant Church of Thomaston, 64 Grove St, Thomaston, CT  06787.
