Obituary of Joan Hembree Shelton

Joan Hembree Shelton, 86, wife of Jackie Shelton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 8, 2019.

Mrs. Shelton was born in Greenville County to the late James David Hembree and Bernice Cooper Hardin.  She liked playing cards, reading and Facebook.

Surviving, in addition to her husband are six daughters, June Knight (James), Nancy Lock (George), Tina Vittetoe (Jimmy), Frankie Turner (Frankie), Beth Gurney (Dave) and Pam Hatcher (Johnny); two brothers, Carey Hembree and Ronnie Hall; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and her special loving caregiver, Becky Terrell.

Funeral Services will be 3pm Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends one and a half hours prior to the service starting at 1:30pm.  Burial will follow at Graceland East Cemetery.
