Obituary of William Weslye Schell, Sr.

TSG William Weslye “Bill” Schell Sr., U.S. Air Force Retired, 85, husband of Carol Bradham Schell for 58 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2019.

Mr. Schell was born in Eaton, OH to the late Chelcie Samuel Shell and Mary Leona Landis Shell.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force, where he served as the Honor Guard NCO.  After his time in the military, he taught welding at the Foothills Career Center for many years.  He was a member of Renovation Church and was passionate about his walk with Jesus.  Bill enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and camping.  He was a member of the Simpsonville Pioneers Square Dancing Club and participated in competitive archery. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Bill Schell Jr. and wife Trudy, and Bob Schell and his wife Kerri (the FAVORITE); a daughter, Cindy Davis and husband Chuck; six grandchildren, Arielle Doiel and husband Matt, David Schell and wife Caroline, Dusty Davis, John Schell, Meghan Eikenberry and husband Adam, and Wesley Schell; and four great-grandchildren, Cooper Doiel, Beaux Doiel, Eliza Schell and Isaac Schell.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Chelcie Shell and Don Shell; and three sisters, Louise, Marilyn, and Carolyn.                   .

Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Renovation Church, officiated by Dr. Sonny Foraker.  Burial, with full Military Honors, will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.
