Obituary of June Goodwin

June Elizabeth Mayfield Goodwin, 94, widow of John Andy Goodwin, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2019.

Mrs. Goodwin was born in Simpsonville to the late Smith Newton Mayfield and Ada Lenora Vaughn Mayfield.  She was a lifelong member of Clear Spring Baptist Church, where she formerly taught a children’s Sunday School class.  June enjoyed gardening and working in her yard and had a wonderful love of children.

Surviving are a son, David Goodwin and wife Betty; a granddaughter, Dana Jutton and husband Stephen; and a great-granddaughter, Maria Jutton.  She was predeceased by a brother, J.C. Mayfield; and two sisters, Belle Mayfield and Dorothy West.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. David Shiflet.  Burial will be in Clear Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
