Obituary of Kenneth Leroy Sowder

Kenneth Leroy Sowder, 69, husband of Kathleen Pearl “Kathy” Kleinfeldt Sowder for 30 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

Mr. Sowder was born in Yakima, WA to the late Vincent Warren Sowder and Ada Luetta Lemley Sowder Noyes.  He retired from AnMed Health and was a graduate of DeKalb County Tech in Atlanta, GA.  Ken enjoyed gardening, fishing, shooting, geography and history.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Ken Sowder; a daughter, Kelly Owen and husband Whit; two brothers, Dennis Noyes and Brian Noyes; a sister, Joyce Johnson; and two grandchildren, Camryn Owen and Ashtyn Owen.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Vincent Sowder and Ivan Sowder. 

A memorial service will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Roberts Presbyterian Church, 2716 SC-187, Anderson, SC 29626.
