Jeanette Jones Willis, 85, widow of Thomas “Tom” Aaron Willis, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2019. Mrs. Willis was born in Mullins, SC to the late Elly Malcolm Jones and Ruby Clara Watson Jones. With her husband, she co-owned and operated Willis’ Community Snack Bar for many years, where she was affectionately referred to as “Miss Jeanette” by patrons. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she served as the church organist for 35 years. One of Jeanette’s favorite activities in life was family lunch every Sunday after church. Surviving are two sons, Mal Willis and wife Linda, and Mike Willis; a daughter, Teri Barker; two sisters, Gail Skipper, and Shannon Altman and husband Eddie Joe; seven grandchildren, Mandee Stephenson and husband Robert, Todd Willis and wife Bre, Tierney Perkins and husband Kolt, Matt Willis, Jameson Barker, Jensea Meade and husband Jacob, and Madeline Crowder and husband Todd; a granddaughter-in-law, Johnna Barker; and six great-grandchildren, Collin, Cayden, Tristan, Taeya, Bleu and Everly. She was predeceased by a daughter, Tammi Wilson; and a grandson, Jesse Barker. Funeral services will be 2 o’clock Friday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605; or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
