Obituary of Cerese Ranell Tripp

Please share a memory of Cerese to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cerese Ranell Tripp, age 43, passed away at her home in South Carolina, surrounded by her family on Saturday night, December 21, 2019. She was born on December 25, 1975 in Prince Georges County, to Maurice and Linda Jackson. Cerese attended Duval High School in Prince Georges and went on to Morgan State University where she completed two years of graduate school. On February 24, 1997, Cerese gave birth to her first born Bhrianna Chanell Jackson, whom she loved dearly (mommy and daughter against the world). On June 5, 2004 she married her best friend Ikenya Moltese Tripp. Together, in that union, they had two daughters Jordan Kayla Tripp and Pryce Maniah Tripp. Cerese’s family was her world. She worked as a monitoring associate with Synagro, the largest wastewater treatment plant. At Synagro she made lifelong friendships and displayed a wonderful knack for solving problems. Cerese truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, and spending her time serving the Lord at Bible Baptist Church in Simpsonville. She loved her church dearly. Her ministries included serving, cooking, singing, and helping her husband with his Sunday school class. With her no-nonsense mindset, she had an amazing ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Cerese’s special interests and hobbies included raising a family and furthering God’s work. She enjoyed puzzles, board games, amusement parks, scavenger hunts, and organizing. Some of her favorite times out and about were to watch her children play basketball and volleyball. She is survived by her husband, Ikenya; three daughters, Bhrianna, Jordan, and Pryce; parents, Maurice and Linda; with many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives Cerese touched are invited to the Bible Baptist Church, 233 Harrison Bridge Road, on Monday, December 30th, to visit from 11 am to 12 noon, with a homegoing service to begin at 12 noon, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and fellowship.
