Obituary of James Carroll Moore

James Carroll Moore, 75, husband of Teresa Sanders Moore, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Mr. Moore was born in Woodruff to the late J.C. Moore and Myrtle Casey Moore. He enjoyed racing, fishing, hunting, cooking and photography. He served 23 years as youth pastor and then chief cook for Simpsonville UMC. In 1993 he was the Potentate of the Hejaz Shriners. He was the President of the Southeastern Shrine Association in VA, SC, NC, GA, TN, MS, AL and FL, a past master of Wallace #49 Masonic Lodge, 13th Masonic District Deputy, the Fire Marshall at Cryovac and a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Barry Moore (Trudy); two daughters, Ashley Link and Samatha Owens (Jamie); eight grandchildren, James Moore (Amanda), Molly Moore (Tyler Teem), Brianna Roper (Jacob), Ashlynn Link, Mikayla Link, Danielle Link, Michael Link and Braden Link; a brother, Kenneth Moore (Sandra) and two sisters, Sara “Sissy” (Waddell) and Kathy Few. He was predeceased by his former wife, Linda Wilkie Moore. A special recognition for his service dogs, Calhoun, Ruerue, and Nash for the loving companionship and care given to James during his illness. Visitation will be 5-7pm Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Memorial services will be 11am Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Mike Smith, Rev. George Riser, and Rev.
