Obituary of Gerald Royce Foster

Gerald Royce Foster, 70, husband of Kathy Patterson Foster of 41 years, went to be with the Lord, Monday, February 24, 2020. Mr. Foster was born in Clinton to the late Paul E. Foster and Vera Hedspeth Foster. He was a member of Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church. His favorite pastime was being Papa to his 3 granddaughters. He also loved woodworking and restoring older homes. He was a US Navy veteran who served on 2 tours during the Vietnam War. Surviving, in addition to his wife are three daughters, Laurin Patton (Tab) of Greer, SC, Jenna Cox (Christina) of Columbia, SC, and Brooke McBeath (Jacob) of Montgomery, AL; three granddaughters, Wren, Finch and Lundi Patton; three brothers, Ronnie Hedspeth (Patricia) of Long Meadow, MA, Stan Foster of Columbia, SC and Tony Foster of Clinton, SC and two sisters, Freida Spoone of Laurens, SC and Gail Blackwell (Brian) of Clinton, SC. A Memorial Service will be 12pm Friday at Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church, Simpsonville, SC. Mr. Foster will be available for viewing from 9-4 Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service, 1218 North Main Street, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
