Sara Louise Spoone Day, 95, widow of Ben Frank Day, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2020. Mrs. Day was born in Fountain Inn to the late Fred Spoone and Cora Inez Weaver Spoone. She retired from Woodside Mills and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School Class for over 50 years. Louise enjoyed doing crafts and working in the yard. She was also a huge Atlanta Braves fan. Surviving are a son, Rodney Day; two daughters, Beckie Thomson and husband Bob, and Racine Cooper-Teasley and husband Bill; three sisters, Dot Thompson, Loretta Woods, and Brenda Knight; a sister-in-law, Jane Spoone; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Randall Day; two brothers, Alfred Spoone and Jack Spoone; and four sisters, Pauline Gault, Joann Owens, Lucia Raines, and Mary Tumblin. Graveside services will be 12 noon Monday at Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1279 S. Frontage Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
