Obituary of Thelma Gravitt Pruitt

Thelma Gravitt Pruitt, 84, wife of Fred C. Pruitt, Sr of 69 years, went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 17, 2020. Mrs. Pruitt was born in Oakwood, GA to the late Stuart Augustus and Mattie Oliver Gravitt. She loved to sew. She made clothes, dolls and knitted blankets. She was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Fred Pruitt, Jr. (Gidget), Steve Pruitt (Judy) and Tony Pruitt (Crystal); three daughters, Deloris Barnes (Bobby), Sherry Pruitt and Marsha Jones; eight grandchildren, Pam Blume (Matt), Stevie Pruitt, Richie Pruitt (Ciera), Bobby Barnes (Jessica), Summer Barnes, Chris Taylor, Jennifer Miles, Heather Barnes (Daniel), Hannah Pruitt and Leanne Patrick (David); eight great-grandchildren, Gage Lewis, Rocky Smithson, Tristan Smithson, Eli Pruitt, Jacob Miles, Joseph Miles, Kaylee Barnes and Hunter Barnes; a great-great-grandchild, Payton Patrick; a brother, Bobby Gravitt and three sisters, Lucille Conner, Dinah McClure and Ruby Wallace. Funeral Services will be 4pm Thursday at Five Forks Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
