Obituary of Jim Guy Jr

James “Jim” Arthur Guy, Jr., 77, husband of Evelyn Barrett Guy for 38 years, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Jim was born in Spartanburg, SC to the late James Arthur Guy, Sr. and Katherine Barker Guy. Jim was a retired truck driver and a US Navy veteran. Jim loved driving his big rig, fishing and spending time at the lake, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a sister, Carol Drake (John); four sons, Jason Guy (Debbie), Scott Guy, Scott Epps and Brian Epps (Molina); a daughter, Tammy Sharpe (Chris Stimman); three grandchildren, Aubree Guy, Justin Sharpe (Katherine Schneider) and Mason Stimman; three great-grandchildren, Messiah Martin, Sloane Sharpe, and Dante Soignoli; four sisters-in-law, Cathy Brown (Steve), Peggy Riggins (Wayne), Deb Barrett and Martha Gault (Bobby); three brothers-in-law, Danny Barrett,(Stacey), Jimmy Barrett and Tim Barrett (Maxine); many loving nieces and nephews; and his fur-baby, Gunner. He was predeceased by a daughter, Shannon Guy; a granddaughter, Jasmyn Guy; two brothers-in-law, Charles Barrett and Michael Barrett; and one nephew, Bobby Gault, Jr. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be 3 o’clock Monday at Fletcher Funeral service. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Burial will be at MJ Dolly Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery.
