Obituary of Raymond Dutton

Raymond Dutton, 76, husband of Sarah Morley Dutton for 56 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 15, 2023. Mr. Dutton was born in Anderson to Mary Beth Smith Dutton and the late Sam Dutton. Raymond spent a life time in the agricultural industry, first as a dairy farmer and then farming the land. He was a family man, teaching his children to live off the land as well as the importance of family. He also enjoyed lawn mower repair and fishing. Raymond had a disposition of kindness, joyfulness and would doing for others. Children loved him. One of his greatest joy’s was being “Paw-Paw”. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one son, James Dutton; two daughters, Cheryl Henderson and April Blanton (Ernie); five brothers, Sammy Dutton, Kenny Dutton (Kathy), Robert Dutton, Dennis Dutton (Lisa), and Jeffrey Dutton; four surviving sisters, Judy Suttles (Preston), Mary Jane Coleman (Walt), Sheila Powell (Arnold) and Debra Driver; ten grandchildren, Jamie Hand, Brian Dutton, Jr., Kyle Dutton (Melissa), Ashley Price (Jonathon), Nikki Seegers, Timothy Dutton, Katie Cannon (Cody), Natalie Blanton, and Alex Blanton; fifteen great-grandchildren, Noah Hand, Dillon Hand, twins- Jace and Paisley Hand, Maislyn Hand, Jaylan Hand, Drayton Hand, Austin Dutton, Brianna Dutton, Colton Dutton, Tucker Price, Kaylee Price, Makenna Price, Raelyn Brown and Rosa Lee Dutton. He was predeceased by two sisters, Patsy Freeman and Nancy Ann; a son, Raymond Dutton, Jr.; sister-in-law, Shirley Dutton; and granddaughter, Chelsea Simpson. The family will receive friends 5-7pm Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. A Celebration of Raymond’s Life will be 10 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Gray Court City Cemetery.
