Carolyn "Jackie" Goodwin Caswell Hedman, 87,of Owings, SC, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
Mrs. Hedman was born on May 30, 1936 to the late Walter Goodwin and Gladys Wilson Goodwin. She attended New Market High School and later married. Carolyn was a member of Word of Life Ministries. She enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, swimming, crocheting, and making afghans for her grandchildren. She was well known for her potato salad, chocolate dessert, and blueberry pies.
Carolyn is survived by a son, Harold, “Chuck” Caswell (Irene); three daughters, Carol Neal (Carl), Susan Walsh and Diane Hatch (David); a sister, Martha Bruno; eleven grandchildren, Kimmie Roberts (Rick), Eric Neal, Karrie Thornhill, Adam Neal (Anna), Nicholas Solesbee, Randy Solesbee, Jake Caswell (Katlynn), Erin Walsh, Joy Neal, Christine Caswell and Matt Hatch (Erin) and thirteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John M.Hedman, a son, Stephen Caswell; three brothers, Charles Goodwin, Irvine Goodwin and David Goodwin; two sisters, Elizabeth Downs and Catherine Malek and a great grandchild.
Graveside Services will be 2pm Saturday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Laurens, South Carolina.
