Obituary of Margie "Sigie" Tumblin

Margie Mae “Sigie” Tumblin, 88, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2023. Ms. Tumblin was born in Fountain Inn to the late Herbert Blease Tumblin and Connie Bell Adair Tumblin. She was the 1953 Valedictorian of Ford High School and retired from the Agency for International Development. Sigie enjoyed traveling, reading and cross-word puzzles. Her favorite indulgence was always an assortment of coffees, wines, and chocolates. Surviving are a daughter, Kristi Vera; a brother, Carl Tumblin with wife Barbara; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Wallace Tumblin; and a sister, June Tumblin. A Celebration of Sigie’s Life will be 11 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
