Obituary of William "Bill" Schade

William “Bill” Schade, 85, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023.

Mr. Schade was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late William Schade and Irene Schade (nèe Sackawitch). He was an alumnus of Fairleigh Dickinson University and New York University. He retired from the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York after more than 25 years of service. Bill enjoyed skiing, woodworking and creating stained glass art. He also loved reading, traveling and riding his Harley.

Bill is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Schade (nèe Barrise), and his daughter, Serena Schade. He was predeceased by two sons, William Schade and Gerald Schade, and a brother, Thomas Schade.

There will be no services for Bill. Although unnecessary, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, as Bill was an animal lover.
