Obituary of Randy Burleson

Randall Eugene “Randy” Burleson, 65, husband of Taibat Morenike Aina Lawal Burleson, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 13, 2023.

Mr. Burleson was born in Asheville, NC to the late Charles Vantess “Bobby” Burleson, Sr. and Olean “Thelma” Freeman.  He worked for Kimura, Inc.  Randy was into Sci-Fi, especially Star Wars and Star Trek.  He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed trips to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a collector of knives and swords.  Randy was known for his wit, sarcasm, and sense of humor.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons and their wives, Greg and Katie Burleson, and Keith and Tosha Burleson; two daughters, Kim Burleson and April Langford; three brothers, Marcus Freeman with wife Angie, Mike Burleson, and Timmy Burleson with wife Kay; a sister, Carolyn Mills with husband Scott; and five grandchildren, Angela Smith with husband J.J., Kaitlyn Wolford, Jessica Harper with husband Jacob, Breklyn Burleson, and Braelyn Burleson.  He was predeceased by his previous wife, Diane Burleson; a brother, Charles Burleson, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Berlyn Burleson.

A Celebration of Randy’s Life will be 11 o’clock Saturday at Holland Park Church.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
