Obituary of Jade Walker

Please share a memory of Jade to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jade was born in Dallas Texas 1989, shortly after she moved to Atlanta, GA with her family. After several years Jade and her family moved to Greenville, SC where she attended JL Mann High School  and 3 weeks away from graduating from ECPI as a nursing graduate. Jade was also a parishioner at Prince of Peace and St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.

Jade was a sweet, kind, and beautiful person who touched the lives of those around her. She was deeply devoted to her family and always made time to visit each and every one of us. Jade's love for her nieces and nephews was evident in the way she would grab them and hold them close whenever she saw them. She cherished her parents and stayed in touch with them through phone calls and text messages when she couldn't be there in person.

Jade had a thoughtful and caring nature, often surprising us with little treats out of the blue, letting us know that we were always on her mind. As a baby, she was a daddy's girl, accompanying her father everywhere he went, even to work. She played a vital role in keeping her siblings in check and was both sweet and strong in equal measure. Crossing paths with her anger was something to be avoided, as she had a way of proving herself right or skillfully changing the subject.

Her love for her daughter knew no bounds, and she delighted in spoiling her rotten. Jade's greatest desire was to graduate from nursing school so she could provide a home for herself and her daughter, Jorja. She was only three weeks away from achieving this goal, tirelessly working a full-time job, being a dedicated mother, and shouldering the burdens of others. Cooking was one of her passions, and her family will all miss her fabulous dishes.

We cannot forget to mention Bonnie, her beloved cat, whom she adored. Jade often referred to Bonnie as her therapy cat, as she had a way of sensing when she was sad and offering comfort
