Obituary of Kemp Coble

Please share a memory of Kemp to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kemp Howard Coble, 57, went to be with the Lord on Friday December 8th, 2023.

Kemp was born in Burlington, NC to Linda Moore Lowry and Larry French Coble.  Kemp was a veteran of the US Navy Reserve and employed at Ascendum Machinery in Piedmont, SC. He was a member of Brookwood Church and faithfully read his Bible every day. Kemp enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. He enjoyed being outdoors, and was an avid Gamecock fan. Kemp was known for his compassionate spirit, love of  nature and animals, and his dependable work ethic.

Surviving, are his mother, Linda Lowry(Walt); father, Larry Coble; a sister, Janna C. Rhoads (Reggie); two aunts, Hettie Moore and Audrey Dorsett; special cousins, Eric Moore (Deanne) and Sandi Smith, Sherri Fields (Bill), Megan Elks (Justin), Kim Ingold (Daryl), Jonathan Dorsett (Tammy), David Dorsett, Russell Mansfield (Denise), and Jason Mansfield (Teresa).

A Celebration of Kemp’s Life will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Military honors will be rendered by the US Navy honor guard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

To honor Kemp, the family requests a casual “Come As You Are Dress”. Burial will be 1 o’clock Monday at Graceland East Memorial Park in Simpsonville, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville SC 29607; or to the Bon Secours Cancer Center, 104 Innovation Drive, Greenville, SC.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Linda Redderson and staff at Holly Tree Family Practice; Dr. Sharif Kahn and the staff at Bon Secours Cancer Center; the doctors and nurses and staff at St Francis Downtown; and for the out-pouring love, prayers and support from family and friends. Our hearts will be forever grateful.

Visitors may take I-385 to exit 26 and take Harrison Bridge Road to Main Street to avoid Parade traffic in Simpsonville.
