Obituary of Louise Woods

Louise Inness Woods, 101, widow of David Willis Woods, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 5, 2024.

 

Mrs. Woods was born in Fountain Inn to the late Ralph Dewey Inness, Sr. and Bernice Buell Gwinn Inness.  She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and the church organist for over 40 years.  She retired as a dental assistant with Dr. John Burry’s dental practice.  Louise was a devoted Christian and loved to take care of people.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and music.  She was always creative and innovative in her daily tasks, and could figure out just about anything.

 

Surviving are a son, David W. Woods, Jr. with wife Peggy; two daughters, Judy Woods and Jean Holland with husband Charles; seven grandchildren, Dana Todd with husband Bruce, Mark Woods, Brandy Snow with husband Gene, Jeff Wash with wife Carmen, Hunter Wash with wife Emily, Charles Holland II with wife Kelly, and Angie LaPotte with husband Doug; fourteen great-grandchildren, Jacob, Maddox, Alexis, Shelby, Hayden, Carey, Rhett, Colton, Isla, Gemma, Oliver, Eli, Lucas and Gavin; and five great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Alaina, Miles, Benson and Auggie.  She was predeceased by a brother, R.D. “Bubba” Inness, Jr.; and a sister, Betty Pitts.

 

A Celebration of Louise’s Life will be 3 o’clock Wednesday at Beulah Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
