Obituary of Frank Gerdin

Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Frank Charles Gerdin, 78, husband of Barbara Gerdin for 55 years, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2024.

Mr. Gerdin was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Robert Gerdin and Evelyn Gerdin.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  While residing in Seaford NY, Frank was the owner and operator of Frank C. Gerdin Provisions, a distributor of Boars Head food products in NYC.  He sold this business and retired at the early age of 42, to enjoy life with his family and friends.  He was a snowmobile trail master in Mount Holly, VT, an avid skier and a member of the Gold Wing Riders in Simpsonsville, SC – which he continued to gather with when possible.  Frank was affectionately known as the neighborhood Mayor no matter what neighborhood he lived in.  He could repair just about anything and loved doing so.  He was a jokester by nature and enjoyed life to the fullest – especially the occasional card game.  He was extremely generous and would give his time and energy to those who were privileged to know him.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Gregory Gerdin; two daughters, Suzanne Williams with husband Richard, and Michelle Fayter; a brother, Robert Gerdin; seven grandchildren, Brian Lynch, Savanna Lynch, Rachael Kendricks, Maxwell Williams, Katelyn Sanders, Kieran Williams and Cameron Fayter; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Kendricks.
