Obituary of Jill Peden

Jill Smith Campbell Peden, 78, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 25, 2021. Ms. Peden was born in Greenville to the late Robert Wells Campbell and Grady Margaret Smith Campbell. She was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her special son Drew and being Grandma Jill to her grandbabies. She also enjoyed gardening. Surviving are a son, Jim Peden; a daughter, Marcie Skelton and husband Shawn; a brother, Robin Campbell and wife Sylvia; two sisters, Sallie Woodson and husband Marvin, and Mark Talemal and husband Mike; four grandchildren, Dorothy Peden, Elliott Peden, Grady Skelton, and Chase Skelton; and her special friend, Mary Schumars. She was predeceased by her son, Jackie “Drew” Peden, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Cooley Peden; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Faith Peden. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1pm at Fairview Presbyterian. Visitation will be held for 30 minutes prior.
