Obituary of Haskell Lee Smith, Sr.

Haskell Lee Smith, Sr., 67, widower of Sandra Whitney Smith, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 12, 2021. Mr. Smith was born in Gray Court to the late John Wesley Smith and Helen Louise Campbell Smith Cash. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Gamecock fan and loved being Papa to his grandchildren. Surviving are a son, Haskell “Lil Hack” Smith and fiancé Shay, two daughters, Michelle Rollins and husband Jimmy Rollins, and Maranda Bowie and husband Jeff; two brothers, Joe Smith and wife Betty, and Billy Ray Smith and wife Sissy Simpson; one sister, Kathy Hurley and husband Carol “Lil Man” Black six grandchildren, Austin Taliaferro, Katlin Landers and husband Charlie, Desare Bowie and fiancé Keith Franklin, Chris Bowie and wife Audrey, Madison Bowie and Amirah Simpson; four great-grandchildren, Travis, Trenton, Korie and Luke. He was predeceased by four brothers, Mack Smith, Cecil Smith, Claudie Smith, and Robert Smith; and one great grandson, Noah Taliaferro. Services will be private.
