Obituary of Mary Ellen Williams Saxon

Mary Ellen Williams Saxon, 88, wife of the late Glen Bradley Saxon, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Mrs. Saxon was born in Fork Shoals to the late Willie Thomas Williams and Nellie Beatrice Pitts Williams. She was a member of Fork Shoals Baptist Church and the WMU. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Mary Ellen collected cook books, thimbles and tea sets. Surviving are a son, Donnie Saxon and wife Kathy; a daughter, Pam Hendrix and husband Stan; a sister, Peggy Sims and husband Jimmy; a granddaughter, Emily Saxon; a granddaughter-in-law, Melanie Saxon; a special niece, Cindy Bradley; and a special great-niece, Kacie Isbel and her precious babies. She was predeceased by three brothers, W.T. “Bill” Williams, Sonny Williams, and Roy Williams; four sisters, Annie Alman, Helen Thurston, Margie Brown, and Sara Gambrell; and a grandson, Will Saxon. Funeral services will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Fork Shoals Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
