Obituary of John William Woods

John William Woods, Jr., 66, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Mr. Woods was born in Fountain Inn to the late John William Woods, Sr. and Lillian Hendricks Woods. He attended Anderson College and Furman University before retiring as a computer programmer. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. John was an avid reader and was passionate about politics. He was a huge fan of Furman University athletics. Surviving are a son, Jeremy Woods and wife Jessi; two nephews, Andy Burns and wife Allison, and Anthony Burns and wife Marilyn; and a niece, Candice McCraw and husband Alan. He was predeceased by a sister, Marian Burns. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday at Beulah Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the church social hall immediately following the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Fletcher Funeral Service
