Obituary of Charles Edward Crews

Charles Edward Crews, 86, of Fountain Inn, SC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, after a valiant battle with Cancer. Mr. Crews was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Betty Drawdy Crews. Mr. Crews was born September 20, 1934 in Varnville, SC to the late Clifford Crews and Addie Gould Crews. He was a veteran of the Army Corp Reserve. Charles spent over 40 years as Vice President and President in the Apparel Industry, working in the US and the British West Indies (St. Lucia). He loved riding his Gold Wing, working in his yard, collecting coins and crystal rocks. Surviving are two sons, C. “Ricky” Crews (Jeana) of Cleveland, TN and Randy A. Crews of Duncan, SC; a daughter, Jana B. Crews of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Dorothy Haskell (Scotty) and Charlene Wheeler; seven grandchildren, Shawn Crews (Melinda), Angela Crews, Nathan Crews (Crystal), Leslie Crews, Hannah Crews, Alex Traxler, and Garrett Staples; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Crews, Caleb Crews, and Slade Crews. He was predeceased by a brother, Gene Crews; and a sister, Betty Story. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society, at 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615 Arrangements will be made at a later date.
