David was born in Aliquippa, P.A to the late Edward English and Oretha Jackson English. He was a deacon/member of several church congregations from Boston MA. to Simpsonville SC. His home church was Born Again Evangelistic Outreach Ministries and he found fellowship with Word of Life Ministries. He blessed many a person with his soulful voice and talent within the gospel/music industry. He was an anointed and profound minister whether in teaching or in song. As an entrepreneur he worked in different positions and wore many hats. Out of concern for his community, he ran for public office He is most known for being the owner and operator of a transportation service, which offered local jobs to the community, for 20 years before retiring. David is survived by his lovely wife Johnnie M. Kenner, and his children: David Kenner Jr, Angela Thomas, Tonya Kenner, Twyla Kenner, Jonathan P. Kenner, and Allison O.V Kenner. In addition, David is survived by his sister Eileen Kenner, and her children Latisha Kenner Zabalou, and Francesca (Chicky) Kenner Guillaume and a host of grand-children, great-grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He has gone home to be at peace with the Lord and rest well with his daughter Davetta Jackson, sister Alice Edwards, and brother Tyrone J. Kenner. Weep Not for Me Weep not for me though I am gone Into the gentle nights Grieve if you will, but not for long Upon my souls’ sweet flight I am at peace, my soul is at rest There is no need for tears For, with your love I was so proud and blessed There is no pain I suffer not The fear now all is gone Put those things out of your thoughts In your memory, I will live on Remember not my fight for breath Remember not the strife Please do not dwell upon me and my death BUT CELEBRATE MY LIFE!!
