Obituary of Susan Elaine Ledford

Susan Elaine Ledford, 66, of Simpsonville, SC passed away September 8th, 2021 at home surrounded by love. Susan was born July 17th 1955 in Greenville, SC. She leaves behind her mother Mary I Potter, dad Philip N Potter, and Father Homer Ledford. Susan is survived by her extremely large family of 8 siblings, numerous cousins, 18 nieces and nephews, 32 great nieces and nephews, 1 paternal grandmother Margaret Larson, 1 maternal Aunt and Uncle Arlene Massey and family and Ronald & Joanne Mostella and family. Also, 2 paternal Aunts and Uncles Susan Owen and family and Patsy Chase and family, John & Donna Potter and family and Bruce & Dottie Potter and family. The siblings and (spouses) include, Johnny M. Land, Vicki Reid (Wayne), Catherine Gray, James Ledford (Della), Lisa Ortiz (Rick), Lisa Hayes (Travis), and Erik Ledford (Michelle). Susan was affectionately called Susie Q by most of the family. She loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chocolate milk, and playing with her strands of beads. Her laugh was contagious and she will forever be missed. She was the best of us all! We do not mourn as those who have no hope!! We will see you again one day and we look forward to that celebration. A Celebration of Susan's life will be September 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Fletcher Funeral Home 1218 N Main Street Fountain Inn, SC 29644. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Entombment will be immediately following the service at Graceland East Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
