Obituary of Calvin Lewis Lollis, Sr.

Calvin Lewis Lollis, Sr., 92, husband of the late Nancy Jean Goodwin Lollis, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2021. Mr. Lollis was born in Fountain Inn to the late Wayman Wilton Lollis and Nancy Irene Hazel Lollis. He retired from John D. Hollingsworth. With Nancy, he was a longtime volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he formerly served as church treasurer and director of the Men’s Group. Calvin loved music, dancing and working in the garden. Surviving are two sons, Lewis Lollis, Jr. (Susan) and Meredith Lollis (Jill); five grandchildren, Landon Horton, Tyler Lollis, Chandler Lollis (Erin), Blake Lollis and Connor Lollis; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Shaun and Emery. He was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Steve Horton; two brothers, Johnny Lollis and Wayman Lollis; and three sisters, Lucille Garrett, Ruby Eskew and Sara Babb. Funeral services for family and close friends will be held at 4 o’clock Wednesday in the mausoleum chapel at Cannon Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Meals-on-Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605; or to Trinity UMC, 403 S. Weston Street, Fountain Inn, SC 29644. The family would like to thank all the caregivers who assisted dad and the family during this time.
