Obituary of Jack Emmett Gray, Sr.

Jack Emmett Gray, Sr., 90, husband of the late Gwin Smith Gray, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Mr. Gray was born in Gray Court to the late Haskell Gray, Sr. and Annie Ruth Curry Gray. He was a Korean War veteran of the US Army. He retired from Beattie Woodside Mills after more than 30 years of service. Jack was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers and the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed going to the beach and the lake with family. He lived by faith, and loved his family and friends. Jack attended Renovation Church. Surviving is his daughter, Jacqueline “Jacque” Gray; and many loving nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son, Jack Gray, Jr.; three brothers, Haskell Gray, Jr., Charles Gray, and his fraternal twin brother, Bobby Gray; and a sister, Ruby Burdette. Graveside services, with military honors, will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Cannon Memorial Park.
