Obituary of Barbara Roberson Thompson

Barbara Elizabeth Roberson Thompson, 59, wife of John Earl Thompson, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Mrs. Thompson was born in Woodruff to the late L.C. Roberson and Frances Elizabeth Willard Brown. She was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and playing board games, especially “Risk”. She loved dogs and was a collector of Christmas mice and dreamcatchers. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Kimberly Starnes (Chris) and Sarah Vassey (Emily); three sons, Johnathan Thompson (Amber), Travis Thompson (Chelsea), and Brandon Thompson (Ashley); a sister, Renee’ Cannon (Shealy); and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Kim Roberson. A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be 6 o’clock Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service – Woodruff.
