Obituary of Allen B. Stoddard, Jr

Allen B. “Sonny” Stoddard, Jr., 86, husband of Lois K. Stoddard for 59 years, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 7, 2021. Mr. Stoddard was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Allen B. Stoddard, Sr. and Anna Mae Bertino Stoddard. He was an US Army Veteran and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where he was a past Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Sonny loved the Atlanta Braves, fishing, going to the movies, and eating ice cream. His greatest love was his wife, children and grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to his wife is a daughter, Lori Cooper and husband Barry; two grandsons, RB Cooper and wife Misato and Kyle Reid and wife Amy; a sister, Gloria Young and husband Jim; six great-grandchildren, Arya and Rygo Cooper and Alex, Dylan, Emma and Kylie Reid and a son-in-law Steve Rogers and wife Martha. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Rogers. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30pm Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be 10am Tuesday at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Entombment, with Military Honors will follow at Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Greenville Area Parkinson Society, PO Box 6505, Greenville, SC 29606.
