Christina Lynn Hayes Stevens “Chris”, 48, went to be with our Savior on November 4, 2021. She was the wife of Bruce Euegene Stevens. They shared 16 years of marriage together. Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, she was the first born daughter to Frank and Linda Hayes. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in Criminal Justice and was currently employed at Perspcta, where she worked as a Federal Contract Investigator. She was a member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina, before moving to Simpsonville, South Carolina where she worshiped at Brookwood Church. Chris absolutely loved life and people. She was an avid collector of ink pens, loved cheering for her Alabama Crimson Tide, and enjoyed being her children’s biggest fans. She never met a stranger and lived her life to the absolute fullest. She was a 13 year Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor, and touched numerous lives while on that journey. She is survived by her husband (Bruce Stevens), and two children, Berit Stevens (14) and Ryland Stevens (12), and her favorite furbaby Dixie Stevens. Also survived by her sister, Melody Withey along with Tony Liendo and her 2 nieces Ragan Withey (22) and Hayeslee Liendo (7). Her beloved Memaw, Faye Runyon, and her special aunt, Nancy Hutchinson, along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Willis and Dellie Ragan, and paternal grandparents, Frank and Lorene Hayes. A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on November 13, 2021 in Wilmington, North Carolina at Scotts Hill Baptist Church by her Pastor and friend, Phil Ortego.
