Obituary of Betty Woodson Smith

Betty Juanita Woodson Smith, 74, widow of Leroy Owens Smith, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 8, 2021. Mrs. Smith was born in Anderson to the late John Decatur Woodson and Imogene Bagwell Woodson. She was an active member of Hickory Tavern Church of God. Betty enjoyed reading and keeping up with everyone on Facebook. Surviving are a son, John Smith and wife, Tammy; brother, Eddie Woodson; sister, Nancy Kernell; son in-law, Joey Adams; eleven grandchildren, Jimmy Smith, Johnny Smith, Zachary Smith, Savannah Smith, Sierra Smith, Hope Smith and husband Dustin, Joseph Adams and wife Rachel Joshua Adams and wife Morgan, Jae Adams, Brittany Collins and husband Dylan, and Richard Smith; sixteen great-grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Kayleigh Smith, James Smith, Liam Smith, Jackson Smith, Jaden Adams, Weston Adams, Kyler Adams, Brennan Adams, Alexis Smith, Dee Smith, Angelia Smith, Christopher Moon, Isaiah Smith, Luka Adams, and Colton Adams. She was predeceased by two sons, Randy Smith and Richard Smith; a daughter, Angelia Adams, two brothers, Johnny Woodson and Earl Woodson; three sisters, Mildred Lecroy, Kathy McCuen, and Diane Woodson; and granddaughter, Jessica Smith. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. A Celebration of Life will be 2 o’clock Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Chad Jordan. Burial will follow at Cannon Byrd Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of John and Tammy Smith, 570 Mahaffey Road Gray Court, SC 29645.
