Obituary of Karen Knox Cooley

Karen Venice Knox Cooley, 68, wife of James “Jimmy” Stewart Cooley for 48 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2021. Mrs. Cooley was born in Greenville to the late Donald Roy Knox and Judith Karen Kimbrough Knox. She retired from the Whitten Center and previously worked at Wilsons Sporting Goods. Karen was a member of the Yaya Sisterhood. She enjoyed riding horses, painting, and coloring on her phone. Karen mostly loved and cherished her family. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Jamie Cooley; and daughter, Stephanie Davidson and husband Jeff; two brothers, Dale Knox and wife Vicki and Ray Knox; three sisters, Lynn Knox, Libby Knox, Donna Allen, and Danette Hunter and husband Mills; two granddaughters, Caily Cooley and Jasmine Cooley. She was predeceased by her sister, Lynn Knox. A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be 11 o’clock Saturday at Hillside Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Sean Sellars.
